Guedes joins Valencia CF's '100 Club'

Gonçalo Guedes has entered the Valencia CF '100 Club,' making his hundredth official appearance for the team after just under 3 full seasons.
"Reaching 100 games at a club like Valencia CF is a huge challenge," the Portuguese told VCF Media. "I want to keep on growing, continue to improve as a player and help the team."
Guedes joined Valencia CF in August of 2017, and has participated in LaLiga, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Supercopa. Along the way, he has scored 16 goals and provided 17 assists, for a total participation in 33 goals -one every three games.
"People remember the great goals, and it's nice that they remember those, but the important thing is the work that you do in every facet, how you help the team and how you feel about what you have achieved," explained the midfielder, who was part of the side that won the 2019 Copa del Rey.
Whilst he has now reached 100 games, the figure could have arrived even earlier had Guedes not been the victim of some unfortunate injuries -including having to undergo two surgeries.
"Injuries are always inconvenient, but they also help you to grow as a person and as a player. Now I feel more prepared and more mature, and able to show my best football."
